I'm not sure. There were plenty of "neutral" reviewers that gave it a mediocre score. As in left-leaning "neutral". Also, not liking Brie Larson is plenty enough reason for me not to like the movie. Especially when she made it clear early on that this was a platform for spreading political agenda. The movie could have been good and I'd still not "like" it, because I will not support this kind of behavior.

I absolutely don't care about all the shitty things about the movie. This one is just an average things, not bad, not good just ... Useless in the MCU. We don't learn things and, the character is so overpowered that there is no tension, no suspense and that's, that's bad. So, yeah, you watch this or not, you can follow the other films without problems.

so u are telling me that people disliked movie after bries trash interview? no honey, people disliked trailer, whatever they saw, they disliked her as a actress, as I dislike, I didnt expect Captain Marvel to be good, because lately Marvel is going backward, but when I saw Brie Larson as a captain marvel (saw and heard about her from trailer for the first time) I really disliked her, I was looking some unemotional idiot who was not suited for hero role, I disliked it as well, and then she went all out with her trash talking. I can say that movie will suck at least it will be too poor for my taste, and about boicott against movie, Marvel is trying to silence his fans instead of understand them and say that Marvel made wrong choices, blaming fans trying to silence fans? how can u be fan of Marvel when it doesnt respect its own fans? u r supposed to love your fans, not look at them as a money bags.
